Calls For Help

Fast and competent help is just minutes away. A call to 911 sets in motion an incredible help providing apparatus. Emergency 911 calls are answered by Archer County Sheriff Department dispatchers. Trained professional personnel prompt callers for information which is immediately documented and a dispatch made. If an individual can dial the emergency number, but cannot speak, specialized Caller-ID-type devices can automatically pinpoint the location of the call's origin. A sheriff's deputy may be sent, fire departments notified or, in the event of a medical emergency, an ambulance or even a helicopter will possibly be dispatched.

For Bowman area fire and medical emergencies, the county almost always dispatches the Bowman Volunteer Fire Department and often an Archer County Deputy Sheriff, ensuring a speedy and adequate response. In most Bowman area emergencies, members of the Bowman Volunteer Fire Department will be the first help to arrive.

Thanks to trained, and dedicated volunteers, Bowman is better protected than one might think.
